He put on quite the show
A murderer I have come to know
Though he put on quite the show
He’s telling me now that it’s time to go
Up a river and I cannot row
And so I wait for the final blow
He put on quite the show.
He stays around
To make sure I’m drowned
He does not feel
His work is done
And so he does not even run
He dares to stay
Till he gets his way.
The final crack
And I take my last
Hopeless gulp
Of air.
I wish for no pity
I wish for no sorrow
I wait for the day
I wait for tomorrow
When they find my corpse
Though by then he’ll have run his course.
He does not feel
That much I know
He had a soul
Where did it go?
He was beautiful
He was kind
And so he caused me
To be blind
It was wonderful
With the lies
I did not know he could watch me writhe
In pain and shock
He watched the clock
As if waiting for me to finish
I did not know
He would hurt me so
He put on quite the show.
