Bounded Hearts
Does this darkness own a name?
Hatred,Rejection.
How does he seep into our lives?
Does he place a foot in our door?
Or do we invite him inside?
And when we send our children to taste life,
we send them to fight in trenches of war.
Armed with grenades of disenchantment.
Guns of hollow, black steel.
Pools of blood forming where hearts once jolted to the variance of life.
Does this darkness have a name?
And what does he turn us into?
Gentle glass creatures,
Or demons seeking revenge?
How does he overcome us?
By twisting his way into our young minds,
Or seeing wrong as right?
Does he load the gun,
Or do we pull the trigger?
How can this darkness be described?
