Inner Nature
I’m forest green
Well being and well alive
My laughter is the rustle of the leaves
And my humor makes it rise up into the eaves
I’m lively and loud
Too caught up in my pride
To take up a vow
But deep inside, teal lurks
Where my heart goes from benevolent
To a jerk
I can be calm and reserved
Like the sea
And when I feel like it
ANGRY and FIERCE
Most people only see the teal in me
But oh how I wish they could just look closer and see
The forest green in me.
