I'm Lost
I looked around in the night
Unsure of where I stood
Although my heart was broken
I did the best I could
I picked up the shattered pieces
That remained as my heart
Cradled them with gentle hands
As I knew they’d fall apart
The sky was an awful gray
Of which the sun had not shown
The wind continued to blow
Leaving me alone
I was scared
I didn’t know what to do
I’m lost
Just sitting here waiting for you
The pain in my chest taking over
Till it was too much to bare
I cried that night
Knowing you were no longer there
