The riot
Hippiechick10
The riot
Uncontrollable
Unstoppable
Deadly
Lethal
Burning
Hungry
Do you dare try to stem the venomous flow
Of our hatred and rage
So far, the only thing we know?
Pushing
Screaming
Shouting
Shrieks of fury viciously slice the air
Blood and destruction our sacred lair
Do you wish to halt the sound?
Yells of agony our music, so profound?
Stampede
Murder
Run
A starved glint shines in our eyes
As we tear down civilization and lives
Do you care to stop our disturbing glee?
Or mime a coward and selfishly flee?
Flames
Smoke
Heat
We are the fire of revolution and insanity
To utter words of consolation a profanity
Will you defiantly challenge us?
Mollify our anger with a slight touch?
Beginnings
Ends
Rebirth
We shallowly start new ways
So called oppression in the ends of its days
Starting fresh
Renewed
But with unholy battle scars
And blood untrue
Help
Aid
Logic
Please stop us…
What have we done?
Ruined our chance of life
For sickening fun
Marring our chance of survival…
Realization
Dawning
Strength
Refrain, what a frightening word
That mankind ever understood
So sudden is reality
And horror at our mentality
Please help us…
Look in our eyes
No longer do the ones we marked
Properly love the sunrise
Darkened by our wish for revenge
They wait for god the assuage their bitterness
Look in our eyes
Please see a soul
One that needs benefaction
Not a gaping hole
What does your pure, sorrowful gaze see?
Your patience is no longer felony
We now understand
Please, take our hands
Heal us
From our rage
Read our once clean hearts
Like a white page
Seed our blackened soil with love
What you have witnessed is not us
You, with your remaining mortal, sane ways
Please forgive us
Forgive everything that occurred today…
We humans
Coated in envy and greed
Jealousy and anger our lead
Lose control quite evenly
So start us new
Coat us in white
Our once foolish riot
Scarring the night
- THE MOB IN THE RIOT in inspiration of the book, “Unwind.”
