Static
Static in the chairs
In the library
When I sit I get shocked
It’s so weird
When I stand I get shocked
It’s so weird
It kind of hurts
It kind of doesn’t
But I keep doing it anyway
I like the rush
The electricity running through me
It’s so intense, invigorating
It’s kind of like the jungle
Exciting and wild
With my flash drive in the USB
And my mouse on the pad
The library electrifies me
I like learning and writing
It’s what makes us smarter
Which seems kind of ironic
Because this poem sounds dumb
