When the Ground Shook
Quick thumps and quivers
That gave me the shivers
A jolt in the ground
That made us all frown
I ran for cover
As the rest all hovered
The earth was shaking
The sun was baking
My heart was pounding
The siren was sounding
They ran with pure fright
It was really a sight
On and on the rumbling went
And it continued until the flagpoles were bent
I thought it would end
Like the rest that he sends
But it never did cease
We were never at ease
As things fell to the ground
I listened for the sound
Saying it was done
But there simply was none
When it came it felt like hours
With mystical magical powers
It was over at last
It was now just the past
I got up from my stance
And stated to dance
But I was wrong
The fat lady never sang her song
Up we went to the tippy top
Yet when we were there it didn’t stop
The waves crashed with a roar
Even though they were way past shore
I saw my haven my home
Swept away in a moan
My town and my street
Was all torn and beat
The waves had gone
With no pros, but cons
Now I am lost
My life has been tossed
I worry you see
For not only me
My friends family and more
Now we have not, but a floor
So I ask you
What can you do?
Lets help Japan get through their time of need, and be thankful that we are not in the same vote.
