As She Waits
In the dark
She sits and waits.
Waiting to be awake,
She takes one breath in
Then blows one out.
Deeply thinking about her past
Hoping the darkness will not last.
She close her eyes
And try to relax.
She opens her eyes
And see that
She's still in her reality.
As she looks around
An hand moves up her arm.
She sits very still
As her thoughts race at will.
Then she closed her eyes
Not wanting to face the truth to night.
