Undefeated

The crisp air
grabbing at my delicate skin
increases my endurance
as i claw a path through
its strength
leaving behind
footsteps of determination
The distance reveals another being
quite like myself
The sight urges me to accelerate
and i am successful in turning
his steps
into historic marks of loss
as my last rotations
if my anchor-weighed legs
allow me to win the race
undefeated.
