Let Me Show You
Let me show you this heart of glass.
Be careful, for one wrong move and it shall shatter.
Let me show you this heart of gray.
The sun refused to show for so long, the red has washed out.
Let me show you this heart of bruises.
Caused by so much heartache, any one more and it shall bleed.
Let me show you this heart of nothing.
Its owner gave so much and nothing was returned.
Let me show you my open palms.
Cracked, dull, broken...there is no more heart to give;
Here are my hands to prove to you.
Where a heart should sit,
Eyes weep silent crystals that shine among the stars.
