Enemy
The Enemy
I am your enemy,
I realize,
And it’s sad,
For one
Fleeting instant,
Because once
I thought that
Enemies
Were not for real life.
It probably
Could’ve been
Different
Between us,
Better,
Had you not nudged that line,
Shattered it beyond repair,
And achieved
The simple perfection
I yearned for
And fought for
So desperately
Now,
I see you cry
But do nothing
And it’s sad,
For an instant,
Because once
I would’ve been able
To let myself
Care
