Hey Lucy
She wanted to deny it all,
every limitless drop of emotion leaking from her heart.
She couldn’t ignore the pressing love,
the love she had for him.
She was stripped and naked,
exposed in so many ways.
She trusted him with not only her words,
but her body which she proclaimed as his.
She saw his flaws and things that used to irritate her,
but now they are the things she would miss most.
She wanted to deny it all,
every last tear racing from her eyes.
For she learned what love was,
oil and water never meshed so well.
She stared into his soul,
only thinking that this moment must be remembered,
for all that she saw in him, and all that he was,
was the end.
