Sticks, Stones, and Band-aids
If only the hands of the clocks face would freeze,
never to break free of its icy bonds.
And along with the frozen time surrounding us,
your fear of intimacy would correlate with it.
The tears and held back emotions could break through,
pour out in one swift fluid motion with a kiss.
This is a place where we can meet anew,
where we can say hello all over again.
The reversed hands of a timeless world,
where holding your hand was foreign to me.
Join me hand I hand where nothing holds you back,
and lay with me to cover our scars.
