Time is uncontrollable
Time makes me remember the past
Time makes me guess the future
Time is something that amazes me
It goes by at lightning speed
And never stops
Sometimes I want to grasp it in my hands
But it slips away as quickly as it came
I stare at my watch and see the seconds tick by
I realize I can’t make it stop
But then I wonder if anything can
And I wonder what will happen if it does
I wonder if the world is killing itself
And I wonder how my life will turn out
Only time can tell
And sometimes people think they have all the time in the world
But really it keeps slipping through their hands
Like sand sliding through fingers
Eventually it runs out
And there’s nothing anyone can do about it
So I wonder once again
Will it ever stop?
