Beholder
Nobody understood what I meant
When i said she was beautiful
Nobody wanted to hear me say
That I wanted her for my own
Because the imperfections they see
Made the vision of perfection I see
If beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Is it wrong that I want to do more than behold her
I wanna be the one that holds her
Not with my hands
But with my heart
They called me stupid
Told me I could do better
And you know what?
I almost believed them
But at the end of the day
The shattered image that my friends saw
Was the perfect vision I never wanted to stop seeing
