The Water Seemed Like Heaven, Now We Know It's Hell
We jumped in holding hands
Felt the water rush our senses
Swam through the waves
But we lost sight of the shore
We thought we didn't need life jackets
That we were old enough to be strong
To fight against the undercurrent
And keep our heads above the water
But now we're both drowning
And I'd give anything to save you
Except sinking myself
And giving up my hope
And to push myself up
It seems I have to push you under
So we both keep flailing
Gasping for more air
There's no one to save us
Know one knew we were gonna jump
Now it's too late
Unless we discover how to float
