A lullaby we live
Hush cause babies sleep here, so peaceful as they lay. But innocence was broken, grown up without delay. The wonder once held seeing, has turned a gray and black. All treasure found in childhood tied up in plastic sacks. A yo yo set in motion won't stop it's rythmic sway. But cuts and scares and bruises beg of it to stay. An echo bounced off walls in caves, and found it's was back here. The fullness filling up my heart, has left me in a tear.
