Soothesayer
As the fall moon has risen, light streaming out,
The darkness engulfs all, the soothesayer rises out.
Walking confidently, calmly, without care for the world,
Emanating an aura of power and tranquility, without a word.
Without notice, he darts away, invisible to the eye,
Moving to and fro, he makes it to the top of the roof, aye.
Towards the bustling city he looks, sighing,
Lights burning, off and on, so close but so far, why?
Listening intently, the sound of heavy breathing calls out,
Toward the noise he turns, for a child strolls about.
Moving silently, the wind and the night chanting,
The soothsayer reaches her, beginning to murmur.
Animatedly talking to her, consoling her, he lowers down gently,
Removing his hood, fangs glistening, she yields into the night soundlessly.
