Untitled
It sounds far more painful in novels, falling apart.
It probably would have been too if you had not been there to catch me,
But you were, and you did, just as you’d always promised.
You held my trembling body within your arms,
You held my scattered prose between yours ribs,
You held me together the very best you could.
You held me to your heart until i was stuck,
My flesh moulding into yours,
Infinitely connected,
Until there was nothing left to fix.
