Truth is eternal. Knowledge is changeable. It is disastrous to confuse them.

-Madeleine L'Engle

Not enough?

I ask myself with sorrow

Bigger and better

That's all the world has come to

Have I fallen into the Trap?

Deeper into the piles of material items

Longing to reach out to them

To feel included in the arrogant bliss

Is it Selfish?

When I stare with jealousy

At the rich side of town

Wanting to be one of them

Do I Know?

All they have been telling me

Family is first, money isn't happiness

I want to believe, to follow the guidelines

The author's comments:
I felt ungrateful about all the things I own. I'm happy about my life as a whole, but all the material things make it hard to turn away from them unscratched.
