The Sun
I awake in the morn' and draw the curtains. In approaching the sill her warmth shines through. I peer out my window and I can see her soft light caressing the Earth's sweet face. The town fills with laughter, for it no longer sleeps. The children all scatter and play under her watch. But as she grows weary and sleepy as I, she begins to fade turning the skies a darkened gray. The moon hovers above as do the twinkling stars and until the morn' come again she sleeps, hidden in the night.
