#your toes almost scrape the ground.
Your face is something I will not forget
The way I saw you hanging by your neck
I kissed your lips as you swayed away
Then right back my way.
I kind of saw it coming
But it won't stop me from strumming
These three cords real slow,
Much like the ones that made you feel so low.
I wasn't afraid to touch your body
Because you wore the dress I told you was gaudy.
Maybe that was your hint to me,
But the thought doesn't make me plea.
You let gravity do your dirty work,
Maybe in fear that death would lurk.
I could never have saved you.
Not even the lord lost faith in you.
But then again, it was always about you.
