that girl
i want to be that girl…
who wishes upon a shooting star
who believes in love at first sight
who looks up at the sun each time she walks outside and smiles
who isn’t afraid to dream
who loves those who hurt her
who forgives as much as she loves
who still believes in fairytales
who sticks out her tongue to catch the snowflakes
who sees the beauty even in the small things
who will always feel alive
who learns how to dance in the rain
who waits for her prince charming
who is true to her friends
who can smile through her tears
who never gives up, even if she’s weak
who is willing to stand up for something, even if it means she’ll stand alone
who makes mistakes, learns from them, and moves on
who pinches herself when life is too good to be true
who covers her mouth when she laughs
who is strong enough to get back up when she falls down, and keeps going
who prays to her Daddy
who cries herself to sleep so you never have to see her tears
who blows kisses each night to each of her loved ones all around the world
who hears the music in the wind
who learns how to trust again after her heart’s been broken
who believes in miracles
who keeps her secrets in her heart, for they have made her who she is
i want to be that girl
