Hatred
Hate
is the fury
that boils slowly
making its way up from within
as it seers everything in its path
leaving behind
only emptiness
and perhaps a ray of light
peaking subtly through the darkness
Hate
is the jealous thoughts
the angry words
the faces twisted in lust and fear
the innocent, shimmering eyes
peering up at the flames
that enclose
surround
and destroy
Hate
does not give choices
smiles
only at its own triumph
which is soon blown away by the next
like an ugly
distorted
flower
Dying before it has bloomed
Hate
is the beginning
but not
the end
