A Weary Thought
How many times
I've told myself
I'd only believe the truth
And then straightway
Lied to myself
About what that truth had been?
I always fall back
On the bitter facts
And have to face what I've done
So together wit the truth
And my almost turn in belief
I'm more miserable in the end
Shall I still learn
What is write
By the dimming moon
Only to forget
All knew-found wisdom
When it doth rise again?
