Dusty Dancing, Darling
Let us go dance in the street
Upon this summer’s eve
We’ll dance until
We have sores upon our feet
Blackened from the tar
That lies beneath
We’ll dance until morning calls
Along with the early dew
That will settle into our skin
Chilling to the bone
We’ll dance until everyone fades
And all have left
We’ll dance within the summer’s heat
Dancing in the street
As the blistering sun burns
Scorching those in its wake
Burning and turning everything to ash
Swept away by the August breeze
Becoming dust in the wind
Even then we’ll dance
And we will forever
Go dancing in the street
