Angel
Cross-legged in the center
Of this barren room
Stone-set walls
And a concrete floor
With no windows or doors
I have no view of the outside world
I have no one in my presence
Left alone to the silence and my thoughts
The line of reality and imagination
Has become blurry
My whispers echo off the walls
Swirling around me
Forming like a smoke
Becoming hazy
These faint echoes
Have become my only friends
They speak to me
Long-lost companions
I have forgotten the past
With no hope of a future
Just waiting out time
In the depths of my mind
Until- I hear a knock
But this is not possible?
For there are no doors…
I hear it once again
The source is an Angel
One I cannot see
But I still believe in
Though I am unsure
If you are real or a dream
A fiction of my cruel imagination
Angel, you ask to come in
But I do not know how
There is a wall between us
One of which
I cannot destroy
I wish for you to enter
So Angel, tell me how to let you in?
