Ruminations on "Two-Headed Boy" by Neutral Milk Hotel
From the way he sings,
You would think he'd be dead by now.
This is no negative commentary
On the man's vocal talent,
But the simple chorus,
Stripped of studio effect,
Appears to be floating
Up from the grave.
"I am listening to hear where you are!"
Is shouted.
A soul, long gone from this world,
Calling out to those
Who have long since forgotten him.
