Slipping in and out of
Constant waves of pain
Don't understand why it's there
Don't know how to get rid of it
When I fall
I fall hard
Crack my head on the rough ground
The ache wont leave my body
Then you pick me up
You lift me out of pain
Everything feels good
I feel whole again
Every touch
Every whisper
I cling to with joy
When you set me down
Put me on solid ground
My knees begin to shake
I don't think I can do it
You hold my hand
You help me walk again
All of the pain
And memory of it
Fades
