Someday I will return
To Back Allegany Mountain,
To the Green Briar River,
And the horse pastures on the hill.

Someday I will see
The winding mountain roads,
Where my sister threw up,
On the side of the car.

Someday I will experience
Swimming in the ice filled,
Green Briar River,
Floating to the end,
And trudging back
Down the shore again.

Someday I will come back
To the big white house,
With a horse pasture
In the backyard.

Someday I will return
To this place I remember,
This place where fairies exist
And life’s troubles disappear.
Someday I will return.
