Escape
im suffocating
im drowning
and sanity
comes crashing down
all around me
with every word that you place
every look on your face
there's no more time
i can waste
struggling for the air
you keep taking
stop asking me why
i am who i am
that's about it
you want more explanation
i don't have it
from the look in your eye
you can't stand it
and as hard as you try
you can't grasp it
how i could be the bad guy
who could watch her mom cry
who can't just give a good reason
who wont just listen to reason
who still searches for reason
i hold my silence for a moment
you tell me to look at my mistakes
and just own them
and in my head i say
they're yours too
you tell me to stop running
but i don't hear you
cause i'm running out of room
in my skin
i can't take it
i got one hand on the door
hoping i can make it
out
with a piece of myself still standing
cause that freedom is callin
im choking
i can't take much more
but i hold it all in
i pause
thinkin
about takin my stuff
maybe you'd be happy then
as soon as i'm out
the door shuts
it goes quiet
like some one calmed the riot
ing
in my head
and i start to breathe again.
