The "Social" Network MAG
For hours, all my mind will do is drift from screen to screen.
My feet take on a numbness, my eyes, a glassy sheen.
I have no desire to leave my desk and chair,
For there's nothing I could want to know that I cannot find there.
I'm five keys and a click from China, whereas others have to fly.
While many are oblivious, no event escapes my eye.
I know most celebrities as if they were my kin.
Their lives scroll by upon my screen, bright and paper thin.
I know I have a family, although I don't know where …
The day they quit their Facebooks, they vanished to thin air!
No worries, I've forgiven them; I'm no longer bitter.
I've taken to a family I'm following on Twitter.
Go ahead and criticize, but don't be too negative.
Ever heard of Google Earth? I know where you live.
