Take a Nap
After a meal
Or a morning too stressed
Sprawling out on the couch
Is what’s needed best
Sunlight pressed gently
On lightly closed lids
As reality once present
Is carefully hid
Minute after minute
Amidst delicious dreams
All in the presence
Of the sun’s precious beams
Softly awakened
By an invisible source
More alert and more focused
Than minutes before
A brain that’s well rested
Does as a dry sponge will do
Absorbing info like water
And retaining it too
