The Guardian
Have I forgotten?
How to love another
Since he stole my soul
My heart, it’s here
Barely beating, continuously bleeding
Crying tears of blood
I haven’t truly been anyone’s
Since he set his eyes on mine
As he slowly sucked out my soul
Through his piercing gaze
He’s kept me around
Dragging me down under
Back to where he came from
Pits of despair, pools of misery
The endless ocean of sorrow
Brimming to the top with tears
Of the hopeless and the heartbroken
This is where that demon dwells
This is where the thief of souls thrives
This is where love is kept prisoner
And he is the keeper.
