We're All Thinking It
a little bit more
or life to explore
sore, on the door like a broken hinge
we all cling on to hopes of winning
anything that comes our way
the life we want just a mile away
so hard I can't say, not just today,
tomorrow.
flip a coin is our chance of making it there.
where? into your arms with care
and swear you'll never leave me where?
alone, stripped to the bone,
girls cloned: PLAYERS.
layers of betrayal
and wasted years
of lies intruding my ears
protruding my fears.
entertaining my clear
alibi.
you ruin my life
take my disguise
live my lies
all I do is try try try
try your heart for fit
find my part of it
turn the lights off
dark then lit.
without a hit, you slip
down your pile of skeletons
the ones you claim to be gone
won. your prize for your games
of stolen fame,
your lame days of when you came
or became what you claim
to be the same
of what I call love.
