Unpayable Service To Your Country
Letters aren't enough to save my heart.
Day after day, further and further apart.
He took his bags and he wore his uniform.
He took my heart and wore my tears.
I wait by the phone for a call that never comes.
And when it does I struggle to find words to say.
Among the rose bushes a black cadillac arose.
I could read off his face that daddy wasn't coming home.
