New Beginnings
Crawling out of my hole
I’m ready for change
No more of the darkness I’ve come to known
No more of the skeleton I once was
Once confused, broken, and hollow
I’m ready for the escape
To be free of the pain
I’m ready to know myself again
Saying goodbye to the damage that was done
Letting go of the past
Saying hello to the future
Embracing a new world
Lost inside a dark abyss
Lost in a known place
You were the monster
You were what I’ve come to fear
I’m ready to spread my wings
To stretch towards the sky
I’m ready for reality
For you to be gone
My fear was my black hole
No more will I fear the monster
Today my fear is my strength
I’m ready for a new beginning
