Intangible
Yes,
it's unfair how
chained fences
lock like fingers in
empty spaces,
how I
haven't seen a crescent-moon in
years
and when I open my eyes
I crack a levee of tears.
All of my fears seem to glow and
congregate, whispering,
plotting,
bringing him face down on the rocks,
imprinting a scar
worthy of being
a lifetime.
Frozen in a fog,
a machine whirrs,
my lips open and words, no,
emotions spill out like lava;
shut the blinds,
turn of the lamp, the television,
the light.
Break out of your comfort zone;
I'll find you a reason to
face the dark,
and curve your mouth to the
sky.
