When Told Something you Don't Want to Hear
When told something you don't want to hear
You choose not to hear it.
No matter how many times it's reverberated, reiterated,
Some things just aren't meant to be accepted.
But when these things aren't accepted, will they come back to haunt you?
Most definitely.
Probably.
Maybe.
Not likely.
No.
There are so many answers to such a simple question.
When told something you don't want to hear
You find it unbelievable, unbearable,
Or you just think you're above what you're hearing
Because you have convinced yourself you're above your maturity
But what if a simple saying, or piece of advice,
That has always flown over your head
Because it's so common and have heard it too many times it becomes worn
DOES come back to you?
What if this pairing of words finally makes since to you?
And you wish you would have paid attention to it when you had the chance?
When told something you don't want to hear,
And it comes back to haunt you,
How do you act?
Is there a certain way for the circumstances?
Is every way right?
Is every way wrong?
Is there a way to know?
When told something you don't want to hear,
And it comes back to haunt you,
And you don't know how to act,
You are truly lost.
When told something you don't want to hear,
And you're lost,
How will you ever learn to live with yourself?
You can mourn, cry, scream, be as angry as you want.
That won't change anything.
No.
When told you don't know what you have until it's gone,
And it is gone,
All you do is wish you had more time
More time is all you would need.
To realize not to waste life.
To make things right
Because now that we know we have no idea what we have until it's gone,
We would truly cherish everything.
Before and after it's gone.
