Pains of a Know-It-All
And I hope you learned better, and I hope you won’t regret.
I hope I never see you cry, or watch you fade way.
I hope you never have to worry over your failures.
And I hope you know what you’re doing, and I hope this isn’t a mistake.
I hope you know I’m always here, when you fall, slip or break.
And I hope you take my advice, even though I know you won’t.
And in the end, all I hope is that I never have to say
I told you so.
