How can I miss something I never had?
I've never had a normal life,
I've never had a dad
How can not having something hurt you so much?
I wish I still had my grandmother here,
her warm and loving, patient touch
When you don't have the things you want,
how can you keep giving?
This question is easy for me,
It hurts, but I simply keep living

This is just something off the top of my head.My father died before I was even old enough to recognize him.I met my grandmother and after a couple of years I lost her too, so this poem is dedicated to them.

To love, to be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and vulgar disparity of the life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”

This is really beautiful!
