Why I Write
I write to communicate
to let my thoughts travel through
my pencil onto the paper.
I write to create
To make gray turn to color
and produce an angel from a demon.
I write because of passion,
the silent voice that dreams,
dangerously to be heard.
I write to escape the evil
That the world so carelessly holds.
I write because of love
The complex risk taking mind-set.
The most beautiful,
yet the most cold-hearted feeling.
I write to be heard,
and to hear myself.
I write to transform my pain
to ease and cease the wrath of agony.
I write to stay sane
to say the things I can’t say.
I write because I’m inspired,
inspired by the beauty of words,
inspired by the beauty of arrangement.
I write to make the world seem
better or worse, than what it really is.
I write because of loss.
I write because of gain.
I write to fulfill my goals.
To feed my ambitions,
to grow the seed of success,
into a flower of accomplishment.
I write because of nature,
my mother and the sun.
I write because I believe,
because I have faith,
because I believe with faith,
A change will come.
I write because I’m forced.
I write because I’m willing.
I write because it’s my dream
And my dream is to write.
I write because it’s what I wish,
What I want and what I wonder.
Because it is what my soul desires.
I write because Thank God,
I was given that right.
I write because I was born
with an endless love for it,
because words spiral down
My veins naturally without intention.
I write because it’s the key
to survival.
I write because no matter what
the words will never fail me.
