Red Balloon
A young boy clutches his red balloon.
Eagerly he holds onto this memory,
Of a day at the fair.
He ambles down the street,
And the wind blows behind him.
Cleverly, it sneaks between his fingers,
And raises the balloon from his hand.
He cries out.
Frantically, he jumps to grasp his new found friend.
He jumps and yells,
But the air slips between his fingers.
He stops and watches the balloon glide over the horizon.
His hand slowly descends from the air,
And returns to his side.
The balloon sails through the sky,
On a new adventure.
