Reach Out
I take slow steps down the broken street
The sky is gray and gloomy
The grass is lifeless
Children’s laughter is dimmed
The sound of broken people cries out
Hurt is relieved
When does anybody hear the cries of the weary?
Or take the time to extend their arms to help them
When we see the broken
And hear the weary
We must focus in
And listen intentionally to the cries
With open eyes
Our hearts melt
With ears taking caution
For hurt is in the air
Our minds begin to turn their gears
How can we help?
