I tried to stand, but could not
So I knelt before Your throne
Breathing in, breathing out

I went to You in prayer
I laid my sorrows at Your feet
You eased my hurt and heartache

Fresh strength you bestowed me
I felt your peace and love
I rose from my knees

And I held my head high
For in You I know
I can fight through another day
With You by my side, I will stand

gosh, i love this, im not sure if my comments on your other pieces of work have been actually POSTING, but i just wanted to tell you you are an amazing poet and artist. I would really like to sing this poem at my church, no joke. i read it and ran to get my guitar- it is now a song, just in cas eyou wanted to know, well... my music, your lyrics :)
