my own windowboxes (i have boxes of sea glass & seashells) {let me know} [c
i go to school to get away from home
i go home to get away from school
in a life in which i'm never comfortable
i find myself waiting on that day
that i turn the lock in my own door
my own life with my own windowboxes
i get the paper and see my own floors
i don't have to go anywhere to feel better
in a life in which i'm too comfortable
i long for that moment in which i don't have to take a step
never have to pause to remember where it is
now that no one reads this
now that my audience has been driven away
by my own sheer stupidity
i find myself wishing someone would read this
say the right word
little linnet bird i know you can't find comfort
but know this that the blue skies you see here
are the same everywhere
so as you bend your knees into the pavement
turn the key in the lock and grab your paper
it's the same
where ever you breathe
