Hidden Pain
At night I lie here thinking,
"I have no chance at all."
If my past is any indicator,
All I'll do is fall.
Every time I see her,
I die a little more.
When I see her with another,
I cry like never before.
All of these emotions
I keep them bottled inside.
Until eventually,
I'll be unable to hide.
Only several know.
Even fewer care.
But of the few that do,
To tell another,they wouldn't dare.
So I do not ask her,
I just sit around in pain.
With this course of action
No love will I gain.
