What you've been waiting for
Girl sitting in her room
So afraid and alone
Razor blade in hand
One thought rushing through her head
Unable to see
There's a hope to hold on to
One swift move
Just one more
All that it takes
And it's over
Looking in the mirror
Not recognizing the face
Girl sitting in her room
Breaks down in tears
Not seeing there's a way out
From this life that she lives
Lifting the razor
Slicing her wrist
Pressing down
Harder and harder
Blood gushing out
Quenching the pain she feels inside
A pain so real
But so unseen
She keeps it hidden so well
This dirty little secret
Kept for so many years
No where to turn
But to the one and only
Girl so lost and afraid
Turn around and you will see
What has been there all along
His arms are open wide
Climb in and see
The love he will show you
Come closer forgiveness is free
Draw nearer and see
This day without pain
This day you've been waiting for
Is finally here
This day is today
