Years have come and gone, but you remain
When you smile, I find religion
I find god in heaven,

For beauty such as yours could never die,
Even when you grow old your beauty will remain,
For your beauty is of different sorts,
As an ice burg floating in the ocean
It shines like a diamond,

A beacon of beauty in an ugly world,
But like an ice burg, what matters is below the surface,
There for your hart is wasted,
Wasted, on world obsessed with the surface,
I know this to be true, as is the nature of man,

Thus, I would wish to be a fish,
I wish to be a fish, not to swim the seas,
I wish to be a fish, not to comb the depth of the ocean,
Nor do I wish to be a fish, simply to live my life in bliss,
I wish to be a fish, so I could look under, the surface,

I could see, your true beauty,
Your hart, and your mind, the things that matter,
If only I were a fish I, would see that,
only that, which truly matters,
Pity should be taken on man,

Pity him, for he can only peer under the surface,
Fish can admire that which is truly beautiful,
As the winters are long, and as the summers are short,
I wish to be a fish,
Avast, am not a fish,
Try as I might, I will always have hope.
