In Shame
Down the steps
Right, Left
A pile of books in my arms
People stalk past, towering over me
They knock me down, I hit the ground
A soccer cleat scrapes my knee
The pointed fingers
The muffled snickers
It's just too much to watch
Want to cry in shame,
Spread the blame,
But who would listen, anyway?
Leaning over to pick up my things,
A muddy foot steps breaks one of my Rings
My eyes cry out
"Someone, please help!"
Instead, they walk away
They leave me there, all alone
My books and I
In
Shame

Haha :) I appreciate that you commented on another one of my poems, though! Of course I will comment on one of your poems! I'm sorry if I didn't already!!
